Senior Manager Software Development - South

About the role

Thomson Reuters is looking for a Senior Manager, Technology to lead a high‑performing engineering team within the Tax & Accounting area. The role combines strategic thinking, deep technical expertise, and people leadership to drive modern software engineering transformation and deliver customer value.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technology team to deliver business outcomes, adopting cloud architecture, Generative AI and modern engineering practices.
• Establish and reinforce practices such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Trunk‑Based Development, Progressive Delivery, Visual Management, WIP Control and Small Batch Delivery.
• Build and evolve a loosely coupled cloud architecture, promoting standards in FinOps, Site Reliability Engineering, monitoring, observability, incident management, capacity planning, security and resilience.
• Develop a high‑performing team of 10‑15 professionals, fostering psychological safety, mentorship and talent growth.
• Partner with product, business and support stakeholders to align technology initiatives with business priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• Significant experience in technology leadership managing engineering teams and delivering software solutions.
• Proven track record of driving engineering transformation, cloud adoption and AI‑enabled practices.
• Strong ability to work with cross‑functional stakeholders in fast‑changing environments.
