Application Engineer – Assistant Director

About the role

The Application Engineer will act as a subject‑matter expert on technical implementation of business processes, partnering with architecture, business sponsors and teams to deliver cost‑effective, fit‑for‑purpose solutions. This supervisory role manages technical deliverables, ensures high‑quality coding standards, and supports the transition to production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop robust, high‑performance enterprise software and conduct code reviews.
• Provide effort estimates, feedback on engineering methodologies, and support technical onboarding.
• Translate design and solution architecture into detailed design and build deliverables.
• Monitor adherence to application engineering standards, identify risks, and propose remediation plans.

Required profile

• 9–15 years of relevant experience in software development and delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, capable of managing multiple technical challenges.
• Experience leading virtual teams, applying Agile methodologies, and communicating technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• .NET (C#.NET, ASP.NET, MVC, Windows Service)
• SQL Server (stored procedures, views, functions, T‑SQL, SSIS, SSAS)
• Client web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, jQuery, NodeJS, AngularJS, HTTP REST)
• Azure cloud services, cloud infrastructure, OpenAI integration
• Reporting tools (Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate)
