Key responsibilities

- Lead and develop the AML Compliance team, set strategy, coach leaders and specialists and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
- Oversee KYC, KYP, KYE, transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, investigations and SAR/STR reporting, ensuring controls stay effective, auditable and scalable.
- Act as the main AML partner for correspondent banks, banking partners, regulators and executives, handling due diligence requests, regulatory interactions, enterprise risk assessments and Board-level reporting.
- Work with Product, Engineering, Operations, Commercial, Legal and Risk to embed AML requirements into new products and market expansions.
- Use automation, analytics and emerging technologies to strengthen financial crime controls while keeping the customer experience efficient.
Required profile
- AML compliance experience with leadership responsibility in fintechs, global payments companies, financial institutions or other highly regulated organisations.
- Proven experience leading international AML programs across several countries or regions, with knowledge of cross-border financial crime risks, correspondent banking, FATF recommendations and global regulations.
- Demonstrated success designing, building or maturing AML programs, including governance, controls, policies and monitoring.
- People leadership experience: building teams, developing talent and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Experience managing relationships with correspondent banks, regulators, auditors and external partners, and responding to due diligence requests and regulatory inquiries.
- Fluent English, written and spoken.
Required skills
- Customer due diligence (KYC/KYP/KYE), transaction monitoring, sanctions screening, investigations and SAR/STR reporting.
- AML risk assessments and AML governance.
- Bonus: CAMS or equivalent AML certification.
- Bonus: experience applying AI, machine learning or advanced analytics to financial crime operations.
What we offer
- Annual performance bonus based on company results.
- Monthly meal allowance.
- Education support for undergraduate, graduate and MBA programs, plus a budget for courses, certifications and workshops.
- Medical and dental plans with dependent coverage and wellness programs.
- Semi-flexible hours, an extra day off on your birthday and a year-end break.
