Senior Learning Advisor

About the role

The Senior Learning Advisor works in an oversight and content development role supporting Learning Solutions clients. The person implements solutions designed by the Solution Design (BD) team and acts as the accountable Learning Strategist on project teams, consulting with BD, consulting and engaging regularly with the client, assessing client needs and giving direction to full-time and/or contractor writers. The role may also involve collaborating with BD teams on training needs, estimating effort for new deliverables and running or facilitating training and train-the-trainer sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as Learning Strategist on projects, interacting with key client stakeholders before sale, at kickoff and throughout the project, managing expectations and gathering insights for deliverables
• Work with the Learning Solutions BD lead to validate client needs pre-sale and take responsibility for the project after sale, keeping the BD lead informed of project status
• Conduct needs assessments to identify training gaps and recommend learning solutions
• Develop training roadmaps with defined curriculum, recommended modality and sequencing
• Create or oversee training content delivered via multiple modalities such as e-modules, e-zines, live training and communication tools, using effective instructional design and existing intellectual property
• Ensure content delivery fits the project budget and oversee live training logistics, including scheduling, printing guides and facilities
• Use AI tools appropriately to improve efficiency, and coordinate with the Learning Management System team and other internal stakeholders
• Facilitate or run facilitator training for content, and lead status meetings with the client team as required

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech healthcare industry, particularly in roles such as field sales, field management, account management or MSL
• Minimum 6 years of experience in training or instructional design in the pharma industry, or equivalent
• 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience; MBA or master's degree preferred
• Ability to comply with 10% travel to Syneos and/or client sites

Required skills

• High-level PowerPoint and writing skills
• Proficiency with AI-enabled tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT and Gemini
• Preferred: background in consulting, biopharm sales or biopharm training/instructional design
