Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Sovos, you will design and manage modern, scalable cloud infrastructure that powers global tax compliance solutions. You will work at the intersection of automation, AI‑assisted workflows, and cutting‑edge DevOps practices to ensure reliable, performant product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement auto‑scalable Docker Swarm or Kubernetes clusters using Terraform.
• Create and maintain Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for smooth software releases.
• Develop deployment scripts for health checks, alerts, and infrastructure provisioning, leveraging AI tools.
• Oversee configuration and management of application and infrastructure settings in collaboration with development and operations teams.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation for configuration, release, and deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software release and deployment issues, partnering with product and scrum teams.
• Act as a thought leader, driving innovation, new ideas, and best practices in DevOps and automation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering roles designing and managing cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting abilities, able to resolve complex deployment issues independently.
• Willingness to work off‑hours when needed and participate in an on‑call rotation.
• Ability to clear a background check due to client contractual obligations.
