Senior Data/ELT Engineer (Tax Technology)

About the role

EY's Global Delivery Services (GDS) Tax Technology team develops, implements and integrates technology solutions for its clients and engagement teams. It works with partners, clients and tax technical experts to build tools that improve efficiency and add value to tax services such as Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership and Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax, Human Capital and Internal Tax Services. The team provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support. EY is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join this Tax Technology practice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize data-layer components for new and existing systems, including databases, stored procedures, SSIS packages and SQL queries
• Build and run ETL pipeline processes, and interact with application developers to handle changes in core systems and their impact on SQL databases
• Define data solutions for business problems by working with project managers, seniors and clients
• Communicate with senior IT leaders on program strategy and plans and negotiate quality solutions

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of experience with SQL Server, including database design, data modelling and SSIS/ETL
• Strong experience with SSIS and other ETL tools (Alteryx desirable)
• Ability to work as an individual contributor and strong verbal and written communication skills
• Azure cloud experience or certification preferred; QA skills a plus

• SSIS, C# coding inside SSIS packages, stored procedures, views, triggers, cursors and UDFs
