Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Blend is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that power Journey Analytics. You will focus on creating maintainable, reusable components and reliable pipelines that deliver high‑quality datasets for analytics and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and automate existing GitHub code repositories.
• Refactor legacy code to improve maintainability and reuse across multiple use cases.
• Design and develop modular, reusable components to support various journey analytics scenarios.
• Build and manage automated data pipelines in Databricks for journey‑specific datasets and downstream reporting.
• Consolidate key KPIs, metrics, and attributes into standardized data structures for flexible journey views.
• Create and sustain scalable data models that meet current and future analytics needs.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across pipelines and datasets.
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to continuously improve data processes and architecture.

Required profile

• Strong experience with GitHub repositories and version‑control workflows.
• Hands‑on expertise developing and maintaining Databricks pipelines.
• Proven ability to refactor and maintain legacy codebases.
• Deep understanding of data modeling and reusable component design.
• Experience building scalable models for analytics and reporting.
• Focus on data quality, performance, and reliability.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in cross‑functional environments.
