Senior Collections Analyst

About the role

Medallia is seeking a Senior Collections Analyst to join its Accounts Receivable team. The role focuses on improving the financial health of aging receivables, meeting cash targets, and supporting cross‑functional initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the Accounts Receivable Collections Manager to achieve cash‑flow goals and enhance departmental efficiency.
• Research and analyze customer accounts before outreach, then contact customers via phone, email or online meetings to resolve past‑due balances.
• Document detailed collection notes and resolve complex collection challenges using technical knowledge and procedural guidelines.
• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and customers to address billing and collection issues and provide accurate collection forecasts for monthly or quarterly planning.
• Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end closing activities as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B collections experience.
• Professional fluency in English.
• Degree in Finance or related field preferred.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with NetSuite and Salesforce (Tesorio a plus).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, CONCATENATE, etc.) and familiarity with Google Suite tools.
• Knowledge of GAAP, collections policies, SOX controls, and industry best practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication, including presentation abilities.
