Senior Cloud Architect

About the role

Caylent, an AI‑first cloud services company and AWS Premier Tier Services Partner, is looking for a Senior Cloud Architect to join its Managed Service Provider team. This fully remote position supports clients worldwide in modernizing, automating, and scaling their cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead client engagements, provide thought leadership on scalable cloud architecture, and guide implementation teams to deliver world‑class solutions.
• Design and build AWS‑based architectures with a focus on reliability, security, cost efficiency, and observability using native and partner tools.
• Write Infrastructure as Code (IaC) across multiple frameworks, automate processes, and create runbooks for monitoring and incident response.
• Drive re‑platforming, refactoring, and continuous improvement initiatives, and mentor team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/Computer Science or equivalent experience (6+ years general IT or 8+ years overall).
• 4+ years of hands‑on experience with Amazon Web Services and 2+ years with code‑defined infrastructure.
• Proven experience in Agile project environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong communication, leadership, and client‑facing consulting skills.

• AWS services (Lambda, CloudWatch, X‑Ray, Config, etc.)
• Infrastructure as Code frameworks (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Programming languages: Python, Node.js, TypeScript, Go, Java, C#
• Observability tools: Datadog, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry
• CI/CD tools and practices
