Senior Backend Engineer

About the role

Trafilea is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to design and deliver high‑performance systems that power its globally loved DTC brands. You will work on core backend components and AI‑powered features, focusing on scalability, reliability, and speed.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and optimise backend services using Golang and Node.js.
• Design, build and maintain REST APIs for seamless product and platform integration.
• Work with relational and non‑relational databases, ensuring efficient data modelling and performance.
• Apply AWS best practices for scalable, secure and cost‑effective deployments.
• Collaborate with product, UX and marketing teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Participate in sprint planning, estimation and code reviews within an Agile/SCRUM environment.
• Identify and address technical debt to maintain system stability and scalability.
• Document solutions and share knowledge across the team.

Required profile

• 4+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, curious and committed to continuous improvement in a fast‑moving environment.
