Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to support a fast‑growing roofing and construction business. The role is fully remote and focuses on U.S. accounting standards, job‑costing, and financial reporting for residential, commercial and federally funded projects.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle, including reconciliations, month‑end close and financial reporting for construction operations.
• Apply job costing and work‑in‑progress (WIP) principles to monitor project profitability across multiple active jobs.
• Support percentage‑of‑completion revenue recognition and progress billing for residential, commercial and federal projects.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, subcontractor payments and vendor interactions.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline processes.
• Assist with compliance for federally funded projects, including certified payroll and prevailing wage documentation.
• Stay current on emerging technologies and AI tools that can improve accounting efficiency.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Experience in construction or job‑costed accounting environments.
• Proven ability to make sound financial judgments in a fast‑paced setting.
• Familiarity with federal project accounting is a strong plus.
