Security Software Engineer

About the role

Intuition Machines builds enterprise security products using AI/ML, such as its hCaptcha security suite. As a Security Software Engineer you will design, develop and implement tools and features for the security platform, improving detection and prevention of malicious activity with a focus on systems programming and compiler development. The company practices DevSecOps, so you must be comfortable with monitoring, fault handling, metrics and automating production alarms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop innovative solutions that meet customer and stakeholder requirements.
• Research and implement the latest research in security, obfuscation, virtual machines and compilers.
• Collaborate across departments to find improvements for security and machine learning detection services.
• Deploy continuous updates based on monitoring and research to keep pace with fraud and automation.
• Write clear, maintainable, well-documented and tested code, of quality good enough to be open-sourced.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in a similar role, or demonstrated expertise in systems programming and compiler development.
• Projects, research or blogs related to compiler design and implementation.
• Experience implementing processes that use cryptography and other methods to secure data.
• High conscientiousness, given code runs at web scale (billions or trillions of executions per month).
• Clear communication with team members and stakeholders.

Required skills

• HTTP protocols and web APIs, including browser specifications and capabilities.
• Javascript and browser automation tools and services.
• Nice to have: Rust, Python, C/C++, WASM and security incident management experience.
