Job description
About the role
The Digital Imaging Specialist supports the preparation, classification and quality control of image data used by the Diagnostics team. You will review and label device images, verify classification accuracy, monitor work queues and throughput, identify edge cases and maintain the records needed to track progress and quality. This is an execution-focused, shared-resource position with no client-facing responsibilities, performed remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review and classify screen and back-of-device images using approved categories and labeling standards, and reclassify images flagged by quality reviews.
- Record notes for ambiguous images, escalate unresolved cases, and run quality spot-checks and second-pass reviews.
- Identify edge cases such as folded or partial devices, obstructions, reflections, visual artifacts and dead pixels, and document exceptions and recurring errors.
- Recommend updates to labeling guidance and quality-review checklists, and track daily volume and throughput against goals.
- Monitor backlog, aging, completion status and quality-control queues, and escalate capacity constraints or throughput deviations.
- Maintain trackers, logs, procedures and category definitions, and support ad hoc data pulls, reporting and process-improvement activities.
Required profile
- Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least one year of experience in data labeling, data entry, content review, quality assurance, operations, reporting or a similar detail-oriented role.
- Experience following documented procedures and using spreadsheets, trackers or work queues.
- Strong visual attention to detail, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and ability to do detailed computer-based work for long periods.
Required skills
- Working proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365.
- Basic analytical skills: reviewing volumes, trends, exceptions, completion status and backlog.
- Clear written communication and disciplined process documentation.
Nice to have: image annotation or labeling platform experience, Power BI, familiarity with mobile-device imagery and diagnostics terminology, and experience with distributed teams or external service delivery. No regular travel is expected.
