SAP Functional Analyst – Tax

About the role

ExxonMobil is looking for a SAP Functional Analyst specialized in Tax to join its Global Business Center in Buenos Aires. You will design, build, support and continuously improve SAP applications for finance, revenue accounting, tax, procurement and P2P processes used by teams worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and clarify functional specifications for tax‑related SAP modules across Corporate, Downstream, Chemicals and Upstream businesses.
• Analyze issues, coordinate implementation of SAP solutions and lead improvement initiatives.
• Configure SAP variants, debug and troubleshoot system problems.
• Prepare functional specifications for ABAP developers and track testing plans and results.
• Perform IT testing, support integrated testing and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Maintain system documentation, including design, configuration and testing artefacts.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to identify and resolve data‑quality issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a SAP functional analyst, preferably with a focus on tax, finance or related modules.
• Strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with global business users and IT stakeholders.
• Ability to manage documentation and follow knowledge‑management best practices.
