Remote US Immigration Paralegal (Family Law)

About the role

The client, a US‑based law firm specializing in family‑based immigration, seeks a detail‑oriented Paralegal to support attorneys on US immigration and family law matters. The role is fully remote, serving clients across the United States while working from Latin America.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review immigration petitions, applications, supporting documents, and legal correspondence.
• Support family‑based immigration matters such as family petitions, adjustment of status, and consular processing.
• Collect, review, and organize client documents and evidence; track case deadlines, USCIS notices, filing requirements, and RFEs.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and conduct legal research as needed.
• Maintain organized case files and work closely with attorneys to ensure accurate, timely submissions.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience as a US Immigration Paralegal, preferably with family‑based cases.
• Law degree or attorney experience in the candidate’s native country is strongly preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple remote cases.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of USCIS processes, immigration terminology, and documentation.
• Experience with legal case management systems such as Clio or Docketwise (or similar).
