Claims Verification Case Manager (Contractor)

About the role

The Claims Verification Case Manager is a case‑development professional who maximizes case value, improves client experience, and delivers attorney‑ready files. This remote position works closely with U.S.‑based Claims Verification and Legal Support teams during Louisiana business hours.

Key responsibilities

• Review new cases for completeness, verify intake information, and set up files in the case‑management system.
• Investigate coverage and liability, request and obtain documents such as police reports, photographs, and statements, and flag any gaps.
• Communicate early‑stage and milestone updates to clients, maintaining trust throughout case development.
• Request, retrieve, label, and organize medical, billing, insurance, and other claim‑related records, ensuring accurate electronic filing.
• Maintain timely updates, case notes, and status notes in the firm’s system, supporting checklists, quality reviews, and handoffs.

Required profile

• 1+ years in legal support, insurance claims, case management, or a similarly detail‑heavy role.
• Professional written and spoken English, strong investigative judgment, and ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, technology‑enabled environment.

Required skills

• Experience with SmartAdvocate, Case Status, or similar legal case‑management systems.
• Exceptional document handling, task tracking, and electronic file organization skills.
