Registered Nurse – Surgery (N2East) – 0.60 FTE

About the role

The Registered Nurse (N2East) at Concordia Hospital provides professional nursing care to surgical patients with complex and unpredictable health needs. Working under the general supervision of the Health Services Manager, the RN delivers independent nursing services, administers prescribed treatments, and leads coordination of patient care and discharge.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and interventions for surgical patients.
• Administer medications and medical treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Lead and collaborate with the multidisciplinary health‑care team to ensure safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Coordinate patient discharge planning and follow‑up services.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in unit quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year current medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Graduate of an approved Registered Nursing education program.
• Active registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).
• CPR certification and willingness to maintain it.
• Active participation in professional nursing associations preferred.
