Project Manager – IBM Z Software Migration

About the role

Capgemini Engineering is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead software migration projects on the IBM Z platform. You will be responsible for planning, overseeing execution, communicating with stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring delivery governance across multiple workstreams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide end‑to‑end project management for IBM Z software migration initiatives.
• Define project scope, develop detailed plans, allocate resources, and track progress against milestones.
• Report status, scope changes, risks, and issues to leadership and stakeholders.
• Apply change control, risk management, and tracking practices to support successful delivery.
• Coordinate vendors and align technical workstreams with business objectives.

Required profile

• Strong technical project management experience, preferably in software migration or IBM Z environments.
• Proven ability to manage cross‑functional technical teams and deliver on scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and reporting skills.
• Knowledge of IBM mainframe technologies and IBM Z software ecosystems.
