Project Data Manager

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a Project Data Manager to lead functional data management activities across clinical projects. The role serves as the primary liaison between Data Management, Operations, Project Management, Clinical Monitoring and other functional groups.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and lead the assigned Data Management/Data Operations team to ensure timely launch, delivery and completion of all data management activities.
• Manage project finances, revenue recognition and scope changes while liaising with Finance and Contracts.
• Monitor and communicate project progress to sponsors using status reports and tracking tools.
• Develop and maintain project plans, specifications and documentation in line with SOPs, including TMF filing.
• Provide training, mentorship and support to internal and external audiences.
• Participate in internal, sponsor, third‑party and investigator meetings and audits.

Required profile

• BA/BS in biological sciences, health care or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Clinical data management experience, preferably within a CRO environment.
• Strong project management and staff leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams, with up to 25% travel.

Required skills

• Experience with Oracle Clinical, Rave or Inform systems.
• Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email applications.
• Knowledge of relational database management software and clinical data management practices.
