Principal Software Engineer – Digital Menu Board

About the role

We are looking for a visionary Principal Software Engineer to lead the architecture, scaling, and delivery of our Digital Menu Board platform used by global Quick Service Restaurant brands. This remote‑first position combines deep technical expertise across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure with strong people leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end‑to‑end technical roadmap and architecture for enterprise‑grade Digital Menu Board solutions.
• Lead, mentor, and manage an agile team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Design and implement robust internationalization (i18n) frameworks for global deployments.
• Build and scale cloud‑native services using modern TypeScript stacks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional leadership to deliver high‑quality CMS capabilities.
• Occasionally travel to work with global stakeholders and clients.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering enterprise‑scale web applications.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and aligning technical execution with business goals.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
