Principal Enterprise Architect – AI & Cloud

About the role

As a Principal Enterprise Architect you will bridge complex health‑system needs with cutting‑edge AI, multi‑cloud, and EHR integration technologies. You will partner with IT leaders, clinical champions, and remote engineering teams to design secure, HIPAA‑compliant enterprise architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the target‑state enterprise architecture roadmap, integrating Generative AI, ML, and cloud paradigms to improve clinical and operational efficiency.
• Architect secure, scalable AI solutions including LLM integration, NLP for clinical notes, RAG architectures, and predictive analytics.
• Drive hybrid and multi‑cloud strategies (AWS/Azure) using IaC, event‑driven architectures, and micro‑services.
• Ensure seamless data exchange across core EHR systems (e.g., Epic) via FHIR APIs, HL7, SNOMED CT/LOINC mapping.
• Establish governance and compliance standards for HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF across all AI/ML deployments.

Required profile

• 10+ years in IT/Enterprise Architecture with 3+ years designing cloud and AI/ML solutions, preferably in healthcare or heavily regulated sectors.
• Advanced English (C1/C2) for daily collaboration with US‑based leadership.
• Mission‑driven mindset focused on democratizing healthcare and health equity.

Required skills

• Generative AI, Vector Databases, MLOps/LLMOps pipelines, NLP.
• Data standards: FHIR, HL7, SNOMED CT, LOINC.
• Cloud platforms: AWS managed services, Azure, hybrid architectures.
• IaC tools: Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Compliance frameworks: HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST CSF.
