Power BI Developer – Restaurant Industry (Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Power BI Specialist to join a short‑term consulting engagement focused on the restaurant industry. The role will primarily involve creating and refining interactive dashboards that turn operational data into actionable insights for executives and managers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Translate business requirements into intuitive, executive‑level visualizations.
• Develop operational and executive KPI dashboards centered on restaurant performance.
• Create advanced DAX calculations and optimise report performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs.
• Deliver user‑friendly dashboards that provide actionable insights across the organisation.

Required profile

• Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong expertise in DAX and data‑visualisation best practices.
• Previous experience working with restaurant industry data (POS, labour, inventory, financial reporting).
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into reporting solutions.
• Ability to build both executive and operational KPI dashboards.
