People Data Engineer (Remote)

About the role

The People Data & AI Readiness Engineer builds and operates the trusted data and AI foundation that powers people analytics, workforce insights, and emerging AI-enabled solutions. This is a fully remote, execution‑focused technical position.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable people‑data models and production‑ready database designs within the enterprise data warehouse.
• Establish automated data‑quality monitoring, lineage tracking, and incident management for critical people‑data elements.
• Implement technical controls for data governance, privacy, and access in partnership with legal, security, and HR teams.
• Drive the AI‑readiness roadmap for the people‑data lake, identifying gaps and delivering infrastructure upgrades.

Required profile

• 5+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data architecture.
• Strong experience with HR/People data, especially Workday.
• Proven ability to proactively define infrastructure and architecture roadmaps.
• Advanced written and spoken English (B2‑C2).
