Middle Java Engineer

About the role

Avenga is looking for a Middle Java Engineer to join its insurance‑focused backend team in Argentina. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and agile specialists to evolve, maintain, and improve high‑impact services that run in production.

Key responsibilities

• Own the evolutionary and corrective maintenance of backend services.
• Participate in team ceremonies, technical decision‑making, and agile processes.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on quality and performance.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure reliability, performance, and adherence to best practices.

Required profile

• Solid experience as a Backend Developer in a productive team environment.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands‑on experience with microservices, DDD, Hexagonal Architecture, and SOLID principles.
• Experience working with relational databases.
• Commitment to testing, clear API documentation, and code quality.
• Proactive communication, analytical thinking, and collaborative attitude in agile settings.
