Microsoft 365 Engineer – Migration Specialist

About the role

The Microsoft 365 Engineer designs, implements, and migrates enterprise Microsoft 365 environments for global clients. You will lead tenant‑to‑tenant, on‑premises, and hybrid migration projects with a focus on messaging, identity, and collaboration workloads, working closely with project managers and client stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute migration solutions for corporate mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures (tenant‑to‑tenant, on‑premises, hybrid).
• Migrate user data and workloads using native Microsoft tools and third‑party platforms such as Quest On‑Demand Migration, PowerSyncPro, and AvePoint Fly.
• Provide migration and coexistence support for Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
• Implement hybrid identity solutions, including Azure AD Connect, federated trusts, and single sign‑on.
• Design and administer Active Directory and Entra ID environments to support migration projects.
• Develop PowerShell scripts for automation of migration tasks and workflow creation.
• Create and maintain migration documentation, runbooks, and technical deliverables.
• Serve as technical liaison between internal teams, vendors, and client stakeholders throughout planning, execution, and cut‑over phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum five years of experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, and Entra ID environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience delivering tenant‑to‑tenant, on‑premises, and hybrid migrations.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and remain composed during critical migration events.
