About the role

The Medical Staff Assistant provides essential clinical and administrative support in a busy medical office. Working closely with physicians and patients, the role ensures smooth patient flow, accurate documentation, and adherence to hygiene standards.

Key responsibilities

• Take medical histories, record vital signs, and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, including medication administration and injections.
• Collect and document patient information, current medications, and prescription renewals.
• Prepare exam rooms, set up special equipment, and maintain cleanliness between patients.
• Communicate with patients, physician offices, and testing facilities regarding appointments and results.
• Perform routine administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and claim information gathering.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; prior healthcare experience or training preferred.
• Knowledge of clinic policies, medical terminology, and computer systems.
• Ability to work effectively with patients, medical staff, and external agencies.
• Strong communication skills and courteous customer service.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Required skills
