Junior Project Manager – Keet P2P Engine

About the role

The Keet engine team at Holepunch (part of Tether) builds the core peer‑to‑peer video and chat platform. We are looking for an organized Junior Project Manager to keep the engine work on track, coordinate across a globally distributed team, and ensure smooth releases.

Key responsibilities

• Track engine work across sprints and releases, maintaining issues, milestones and roadmaps.
• Run or support stand‑ups, planning sessions and retrospectives across time zones (mostly async).
• Coordinate between engine developers, Keet UI developers and QA to surface dependencies early.
• Write clear status updates, release notes and meeting summaries.
• Help triage bug reports and user feedback, routing them to the appropriate engineers.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in project coordination or management (including internships or open‑source contributions).
• Excellent written English and ability to explain technical progress concisely.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through.
• Comfortable working with engineers and learning technical concepts quickly.

Required skills

• Experience with issue trackers and project tools such as GitHub Issues/Projects, Jira or Linear.
• Basic understanding of networking or distributed systems concepts (P2P, DHTs, NAT traversal, replication).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Git and release processes.
• Some exposure to JavaScript/Node.js or working alongside a development team.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum practices.
