Human Resources Generalist (BA) – US & Puerto Rico

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive HR support to employees and managers across the United States and Puerto Rico. Acting as a trusted partner, the role covers employee relations, talent management, compliance, HR operations, and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with managers on employee‑relations matters, including policy guidance, disciplinary actions, performance‑improvement plans, and workplace issue resolution.
• Conduct investigations, coordinate with legal counsel, and ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Puerto Rico employment laws.
• Support visa and immigration processes by working with external counsel.
• Manage employee‑lifecycle processes such as performance management, organizational changes, and handbook updates.
• Monitor regulatory changes (minimum wage, paid sick leave, etc.) and develop required compliance trainings.
• Design and deliver trainings on leadership, communication, policies, and compliance.
• Evaluate and improve HR processes, implementing scalable solutions.
• Promote an inclusive work environment by building trust, maintaining confidentiality, and fostering strong employee relations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5‑7 years of progressive HR experience, with strong background in employee relations, performance management, and lifecycle processes.
• 2‑3 years of HR Generalist experience supporting day‑to‑day operations.
• Working knowledge of U.S. federal, state, local, and Puerto Rico employment laws.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while delivering accurate, high‑quality service.
