HR Shared Services Specialist

About the role

The HR Shared Services Specialist administers employee lifecycle transactions and resolves Tier 2 inquiries, ensuring accurate records and compliance across HR systems.

Key responsibilities

• Administer hiring, onboarding, job changes, data updates, leave actions, and off‑boarding using established procedures.
• Resolve Tier 2 employee and manager inquiries, apply HR policies, document rationale, and escalate exceptions.
• Maintain accurate employee records and case documentation for audit readiness and compliance.
• Coordinate handoffs with payroll, benefits, talent, and other support teams to meet service level agreements.
• Analyze reports and transaction data to validate totals, reconcile differences, and support accurate processing.
• Improve service execution by refining templates, checklists, and validation steps to reduce rework.
• Share process knowledge, support onboarding of new team members, and incorporate feedback to increase quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in HR, shared services, employee services, or people administration.
• HR certification (e.g., Engstrom‑CP) preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR systems and service tools for record‑keeping and case management.
• Strong analytical skills for data validation and reconciliation.
• Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
