Hotel Director – Luxury Operations

About the role

The Hotel Director leads all aspects of hotel operations on a luxury vessel, ensuring an exceptional guest experience that meets Forbes 5‑star standards. Reporting to senior management, the role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee multi‑outlet hotel operations to deliver seamless, high‑quality service.
• Implement and maintain Forbes 5‑star standards, preparing the property for potential inspections.
• Conduct daily inspirational morning meetings and mentor department heads.
• Identify training needs, develop talent, and foster a culture of crew friendliness.
• Resolve onboard challenges promptly and ensure all issues are addressed.
• Participate in weekly public health inspections and follow up on corrective actions.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of professional experience in luxury hotel operations, with at least 5 years in a management role.
• Proven experience in 5‑star luxury environments, preferably on cruise ships or comparable hospitality settings.
• Strong leadership, attention to detail, and a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
