Health Care Aide – Urgent Care

About the role

We are seeking a Health Care Aide to join the Urgent Care team at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg. Working under the supervision of nursing staff, you will provide basic supportive care and assist with patient needs in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Support nursing staff by monitoring vital signs and reporting changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
• Document care activities accurately in patient records.
• Participate in team huddles and follow infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Recent patient care experience (within the last 4 years) or equivalent.
• Grade 12 or equivalent education.
• Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized institution.
• Current CPR certification; BCLS certification required for Urgent Care and must be renewed annually.
• Ability to work days, nights, and weekends on a 0.70 FTE schedule.

Required skills

• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
