Head of Finance

About the role

We are a fast‑growing youth sports organization operating across the US and Canada. We are looking for a strategic Head of Finance to lead all financial functions of our multi‑entity, multi‑location business and support rapid growth, acquisitions, and international expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop long‑term strategic plans, growth initiatives, and operational scaling.
• Build integrated financial models, budgets, forecasts and KPIs tailored to seasonal, multi‑location operations.
• Lead enterprise‑level scenario analysis, ROI evaluation and data‑driven decision support for new facilities, pricing, marketing spend and staffing.
• Oversee accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting across all entities, ensuring compliance and margin improvement.
• Manage treasury functions, cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital optimization, debt restructuring and FX strategy where applicable.
• Design and implement scalable financial systems, automation and streamlined workflows.
• Build, lead and mentor a high‑performing finance team and act as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5‑10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in senior roles such as Head of Finance, VP Finance or Controller.
• Experience in multi‑location, multi‑entity or seasonal businesses (sports, fitness, hospitality, franchise or retail is a strong plus).
• Proven track record partnering with CEOs on strategic planning, growth initiatives and operational scaling.
• Demonstrated experience leading M&A activity, due diligence or post‑acquisition integration.
• Experience securing financing for growth projects and managing investor relationships.
