FP&A Intern

About the role

Assurant is looking for an FP&A intern in Buenos Aires to support the FP&A head on short- and long-term planning cycles and their reviews, budget control, P&L trend analysis and gap mitigation. The intern also contributes to improving financial modelling and processes and coordinates GCC enterprise financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Budget control and approval of purchase orders (40%)
• Preparation and monitoring of key performance indicators (20%)
• Projection of income statement, expenses and cash flow (15%)
• Analysis of variances versus budget and previous years
• Support and collaboration with other teams such as Operations, IT and HR (10%)
• Process improvement and support for improvement proposals (10%)
• Collaboration with reporting and local accounting teams (5%)

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance or Accountancy, with at least 50% of the coursework completed
• Experience in planning, forecasting or similar roles preferred
• Experience in financial services or insurance is a plus
• Advanced proficiency in English
• Good teamwork, communication and adaptability

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Preferred: Power BI and financial modelling
