Experience Manager - Resource Management & Scheduling

About the role

EY's Experience Management (EM) team provides client-serving professionals with relevant experiences to support their career development. As an Experience Manager, you identify talent with specific skills to build diverse teams supporting clients, act as a trusted business advisor to business leaders, and work with finance, operations and business development. You will execute complex resource and scheduling assignments, matching resource needs with availability while considering skills, personal preferences and engagement risk.

Key responsibilities

• Assign client service personnel to engagements, review options and present recommendations based on policies and client requirements, challenging scheduled hours and personnel where appropriate.
• Promote and monitor resource sharing, and network with colleagues across regions and service lines to resolve resource needs and conflicts.
• Identify scheduling risks such as high or low utilization, morale and performance issues, and reduce unassigned time and balance workloads.
• Resolve conflicts with engagement team members and counsel supported personnel, raising issues to leadership as needed.
• Communicate with client service personnel about schedule preferences and career development goals, and prioritize staffing decisions around engagement needs.
• Work with recruiting, talent, visa and immigration functions to support client servers.
• Read, review and interpret utilization and scheduling reports, use scheduling tools to forecast hours and track utilization, and share data with leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5-7 years of experience.
• Ideally, proficiency in Microsoft applications and strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working longer hours as needed.

Required skills

• Strong analytical and communication skills, oral and written.
• Negotiation and conflict management.
• Advanced understanding of Excel.
