Environment Manager - Risk Management & GCO

About the role

EY's Enterprise Technology division delivers secure, resilient technology services to global business functions. Its Risk Management & GCO unit needs robust environment strategy, governance and operational excellence. The Environment Manager leads the end-to-end lifecycle of all environments supporting Risk Management and GCO applications, including planning, provisioning, governance and coordination with release and change management. The role is accountable for environment availability, stability and readiness for development, testing and production.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate, plan and manage environment activities including provisioning, refresh and lifecycle management
• Define environment strategy covering availability, utilization and capacity planning
• Align environment schedules with release and deployment timelines
• Partner with Service Delivery and Operations, and with product owners, developers, production support and business stakeholders
• Establish and enforce governance standards including environment controls, access and data integrity
• Drive issue resolution for environment conflicts or instability
• Lead, coach teams and communicate clearly across business, development, QA and operations
• Identify operational improvements to reduce cost and increase quality
• Support Agile/SAFe planning and execution, track environment metrics and contribute to budget planning

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related discipline
• 10+ years managing large-scale enterprise environments or platforms
• 5+ years in environment planning and lifecycle management
• 5+ years supporting release and change management
• Experience supporting system implementations or migrations
• Experience with multiple SDLC methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall
• Strong project management and ability to manage competing priorities

Required skills

• Strong understanding of enterprise environment management practices
• Agile/SAFe delivery experience
• Tools such as GitHub, ServiceNow or similar platforms
• Preferred: familiarity with regulatory and compliance-driven environments, cloud-based environments, and SAFe or Agile certifications
