Engineering Manager – Detection

About the role

Intuition Machines is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Detection team, which builds the core tools and infrastructure that power its AI‑driven security products. You will guide a distributed group of engineers to create and iterate on features that identify and mitigate fraud and abuse at massive scale.

Key responsibilities

• Manage, grow and support a team of experienced engineers developing applications, tools and infrastructure for security products.
• Collaborate with engineers, scientists, stakeholders and domain experts to design and execute unique detection and mitigation solutions.
• Mentor engineers, fostering skill development and sound decision‑making.
• Participate in code and architecture design, contribute to feature development and uphold high‑quality standards through peer reviews.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading or managing engineering teams.
• Proven ability to build high‑performing, engaged teams, preferably in geo‑distributed organizations.
• Experience building applications that scale to handle millions of requests per second.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in Typescript or Python.
• Familiarity with Rust, Go, or C++.
• Understanding of distributed systems and large‑scale operations.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge of edge computing platforms such as Cloudflare Workers, Fastly Edge Compute, or Akamai Serverless Compute.
