Counsel, Production Legal (Temporary)

About the role

Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for a Production Legal Counsel to join its Argentine team on a temporary basis. The counsel will provide comprehensive legal support throughout the lifecycle of scripted and unscripted productions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day legal advice to the Production team for local and regional projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate talent, director, producer, writer, crew, location, production services agreements, and music licenses.
• Advise on labor law, union and guild matters, intellectual property, rights clearances and regulatory compliance.
• Support all production phases from development through post‑production.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Finance, HR and Business Affairs.
• Manage relationships with external counsel, production partners and vendors.
• Identify legal risks and propose practical, business‑oriented solutions.
• Stay current on Argentine legal and regulatory changes affecting audiovisual production.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited Argentine university and licensed to practice law in Argentina.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in media, entertainment or audiovisual production.
• Experience working in‑house or with law firms advising production companies, studios or broadcasters.
• Strong knowledge of Argentine labor law, intellectual property law and production‑related legal frameworks.
