Commercial Banking Analyst – 2027 Program

About the role

Citi is looking for Full-Time Analysts to join its Commercial Banking (CCB) team, which serves companies with annual sales between $100 million and $1 billion. The two-year Analyst Program trains participants in accounting, credit/risk, sales, product, technology and financial analysis so they can structure commercial deals. After a placement process, analysts are matched with a CCB team (Risk Analyst, CMO or Investment Executive) and, at the end of the program, are eligible to become Commercial Relationship Bankers.

Key responsibilities

• Call on clients to deepen relationships and anticipate their future needs, challenges or risks
• Resolve issues with clients' portfolios to ensure their satisfaction
• Work with senior relationship managers and subject matter experts to design customized solutions
• Identify cross-sell opportunities and pursue new clients aligned with Citi's value proposition
• Structure deals to balance risk and reward and protect Citi's assets and reputation from credit risk
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Citi's policies
• Stay connected with industry influencers and associations to strengthen Citi's relationships with them

Required profile

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree (graduating until June 2027) or a recent graduate within the last two years
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with organizational skills and initiative
• Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Innovative problem-solving and cooperation in achieving client objectives
• English and Spanish proficiency
