Cloud & FinOps Azure Architect – Remote (LATAM)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud & FinOps Azure Architect to lead the governance, security, and cost‑optimization of our enterprise Azure estate. This strategic position will shape the design of scalable, secure, and cost‑effective solutions while managing more than 20 years of historical data.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive Azure architecture, governance standards, and best‑practice policies.
• Review technical designs to ensure consistency, security, and cost efficiency.
• Implement an enterprise‑wide FinOps framework, including budgeting, forecasting, showback/chargeback, and anomaly detection.
• Optimize Azure spend across storage tiers, compute resources, reserved instances, and licensing.
• Develop a data lifecycle strategy, classify data, and lead rationalisation of redundant or obsolete data.
• Design and own Azure data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Azure Databricks, and CDP integrations (e.g., Amperity).
• Create efficient data pipelines, batch and real‑time processing workloads, and enforce separation of compute and storage for performance and cost.
• Lead enterprise‑wide initiatives to reduce Azure data costs and improve ROI.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and governing large‑scale Azure environments.
• Strong background in cloud financial management (FinOps) and cost‑optimization.
• Deep understanding of data lifecycle management, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Ability to collaborate with finance, business stakeholders, and technical teams.
