Business Development Manager – Battery Energy Storage

About the role

We are looking for a senior business development professional to drive our Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across residential, commercial, industrial and utility‑scale markets. The role will act as the domain expert, shaping strategy, negotiating contracts and expanding our global footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement best practices for BESS projects of all sizes and product lines.
• Serve as the BESS domain expert, collaborating with internal ESS teams and challenging financial assumptions to approve optimal solutions.
• Define metrics and targets for continuous improvement in project delivery.
• Track construction progress, identify acquisition opportunities, and report market insights to the global team.
• Represent the company at industry conferences and networking events, staying abreast of market trends.
• Build and maintain relationships with key technology vendors, procurement partners, construction firms, and EPC contractors.
• Negotiate contracts with customers, partners, vendors, consultants and installation subcontractors to strengthen Gotion’s competitive position.

Required profile

• BA in Finance, Marketing or related field (MBA preferred).
• 10+ years of business development experience, with at least 3 years in the energy storage sector.
• Excellent communication and networking abilities.
• Experience in a startup or fast‑moving environment.
• Global experience and cultural awareness to influence decision‑making across regions.
