Business Analyst

About the role

The Business Analyst will support the electronic data interchange (EDI) process for insurance carriers and mortgage loan servicing applications. Working closely with the EDI intake and HOI Verify teams, the analyst will recommend and implement system enhancements that improve efficiency, compliance, and growth.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze change requests, determine scope, and adjust data mappings or development to meet customer, lender, and carrier requirements.
• Perform root‑cause analysis of bugs, process gaps, and quality errors, then propose and present improvements to business leads and product owners.
• Create and maintain procedural documentation such as user guides, installation guides, release notes, and system configuration guides.
• Monitor data volumes, investigate significant changes, and research, report, and fix moderate‑complex data issues.
• Collaborate directly with carriers and aggregators to resolve data discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Manage ad‑hoc projects and provide support wherever needed to improve data quality and process efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience writing SQL queries and extracting data.
• At least 2 years of experience with Black Knight/I.C.E. (MSP) platforms.
• 2 years of business analyst experience or equivalent experience in the insurance industry.
• Experience working in product development using agile methodologies.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
• Ability to process complex, time‑sensitive data from multiple sources, prioritize tasks, and work independently or within a project team.
• Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business needs.
