Application Engineer Team Lead - SAP BTP & SuccessFactors

About the role

EY's Talent IT Service Delivery team delivers end-to-end programs and projects that develop and maintain global applications and systems in the Talent IT landscape, using the SAP technology stack. As Application Engineer Team Lead you coordinate and manage a team of development resources in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) using Neo and Cloud Foundry, supporting Talent IT and taking full responsibility for application delivery together with the Project Manager, QA and Support teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and assign tasks to a team of consultants across complex project lifecycles
• Serve as the main point of contact for Employee Central projects, from discovery through deployment and support
• Plan projects, timelines and resources so deliverables are met on schedule and within budget
• Run workshops and interviews with stakeholders, analyze and document requirements and advise clients on best practices and change management
• Build and configure Employee Central modules (organizational management, employee data, workflows, business rules, security)
• Manage project risks, escalate issues early and work within a matrix organization
• Supervise direct reports and liaise daily with the EY ITSD and AMS leads, the TCS AMS team and the business for the portfolio

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science or a business-related degree, or equivalent work experience
• 10+ years in application services and/or client relationship management in a technology environment
• 5+ years building application extensions in SAP BTP
• Significant experience in customer service and business management roles; professional services experience preferred
• Fluent English; international travel may be required

Required skills

• SAP BTP (Neo and Cloud Foundry) with CAP, Node.js and Java
• SAP HANA Cloud and HANA 2.0 (XSC/XSA), including SDI and SDA
• SAP SuccessFactors extensions via SAP Cloud SDK, OData, MDF, Business Rules Engine, Workflows, UI5/Fiori
• OAuth2, SAML, JWT and SAP security best practices
• Business analysis and basic data modelling
• Certifications in SAP HANA, SAP Cloud Platform or SAP Certified Professional - Solution Architect - SAP BTP are good to have
