SAP Basis Administrator

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Administrator to manage and optimise the technical infrastructure of SAP systems, ensuring stability, performance and continuous improvement. The role involves close collaboration with functional, ABAP and infrastructure teams to resolve technical issues and support SAP HANA environments.

Key responsibilities

• Review and implement system changes, design solutions, and perform performance analysis while addressing process gaps.
• Deliver services within defined SLAs and project milestones, monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements.
• Collaborate with functional, ABAP and infrastructure teams to understand requirements and resolve administration issues.
• Partner with SAP HANA implementation teams to maintain support and optimise system performance.
• Conduct periodic SAP Basis administration tasks, including upgrades, monitoring and disaster‑recovery planning.
• Implement, upgrade and monitor SAP HANA databases and HANA Database Cockpit in scale‑up and scale‑out environments.
• Configure and maintain three‑tier HANA System Replication for high availability.
• Troubleshoot HANA memory bottlenecks, optimise performance and manage workload distribution.
• Establish and validate disaster recovery and business continuity plans for SAP HANA.
• Configure SAP SSO/SAML authentication mechanisms and support specialised environments such as SAP Bank Analyzer and BW HANA.
• Administer CTS+ configurations for HANA transport management and maintain Solution Manager monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience managing SAP systems, HANA databases and integration interfaces.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP Basis across SAP ERP, S/4HANA, BW and BusinessObjects.
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager (ChaRM, ITSM, Technical Monitoring, Landscape Management).
• Background in impact analysis of application requirements, including security, integration, performance and quality.
• Knowledge of hardware, network products, system software and security decision‑making.
• Experience with automation in SAP on Cloud, GCP deployment and high‑availability disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Proficiency in supporting SAP systems on high‑availability platforms and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Competency in L1 administration of Red Hat and SUSE Linux, including SUSE Linux Enterprise HA clusters.
