Accountant (Restaurant & QBO Experience)

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented accountant with restaurant and QuickBooks Online experience to join our collaborative finance team. You will work remotely with a global group, providing accurate reporting, reconciliations and financial support for our hospitality clients.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily financial records, categorize expenses and manage the general ledger in QuickBooks Online.
• Reconcile daily POS sales reports with cash deposits, credit‑card payouts and delivery‑app transactions.
• Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments and keep accounts payable up to date.
• Track restaurant‑specific metrics such as food & beverage COGS and labor costs.
• Perform monthly bank and credit‑card statement reconciliations and generate basic P&L reports for owners/managers.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry.
• Strong, practical experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Ability to work independently as a contractor, Monday‑Friday 9 AM–5 PM EST.
• Fast‑paced, growth‑mindset attitude.
