Senior Accountant

About the role

Otto Tiles & Design is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the finance team on a full‑time, remote basis. You will oversee daily accounting operations, prepare financial reports, manage budgets, and support strategic financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes.
• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Review and process vendor invoices, expense reports, and customer payments.
• Monitor outstanding balances and aid collections when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory, purchasing, and cost‑tracking records where applicable.
• Help the Controller clean up and organize historical accounting records.
• Assist in preparing financial reports, cash‑flow tracking, and operational reporting.
• Coordinate with internal departments for proper coding and documentation of transactions.
• Support audit preparation and provide required documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• 2+ years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience (preferred).
• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets.
