US Bookkeeper & Accounting Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a meticulous US Bookkeeper & Accounting Specialist to manage end‑to‑end financial records for a high‑growth US client. This fully remote, full‑time role serves as a strategic financial pillar, ensuring precise reporting and compliance with US GAAP.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate daily ledger entries, overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger.
• Perform regular bank, credit‑card and payment‑gateway reconciliations to eliminate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly Profit & Loss statements, balance sheets, and cash‑flow reports for executive leadership.
• Ensure bookkeeping processes align with US accounting principles and compliance regulations.
• Provide basic variance analysis and support forecasting to optimize cash flow.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience as an accountant or bookkeeper.
• Prior experience with US‑based clients or US tax/financial workflows is a strong advantage.
• Professional fluency in English and ability to communicate financial data clearly.
• Exceptional attention to detail, analytical mindset, and strong organizational skills.

Required skills

• High proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data formatting).
