US Accountant (Remote - Argentina)

About the role

You will own the month‑end close for US entities, handling AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations and reporting, while collaborating with US‑based clients and teams across time zones.

Key responsibilities

• Build budgets, rolling forecasts and cash‑flow projections; monitor burn and runway for SMB clients.
• Prepare balance sheets, P&Ls, cash‑flow statements and management reports with variance analysis and plain‑English commentary.
• Manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping: AP/AR, journal entries, accruals, general ledger and month‑end close.
• Reconcile bank, credit‑card, merchant and loan accounts; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Run payroll accurately, calculate deductions and ensure on‑time processing.
• Standardize checklists, close calendars and SOPs; suggest and implement automation tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of US accounting/bookkeeping experience (public practice or industry).
• Strong command of written and spoken English; client‑facing communication skills.
• Ability to work US business hours from Argentina and maintain full‑time exclusivity.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online (required).
• Experience with Xero and Bill.com (or similar AP/AR automation).
• Proficiency in G‑Suite and Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
• Basic reporting/BI capabilities.
