Treasury Intern

About the role

The Treasury Intern reports directly to the Treasury Team Lead in the Business Service Center and works on international cash management matters such as liquidity, disbursements and bank account management. The intern joins a small, high-performing team and helps identify and measure efficiencies, cost savings and KPIs across all geographies.

Key responsibilities

• Cash management: prepare daily cash position, cash flow actual, short-term forecast and treasury reconciliation
• Bank account management: maintain updated databases of authorized signers and documentation on opening and closing domestic and international accounts
• Perform short-term deposits within house banks or domestically
• Work with relationship banks to resolve disputes and ensure consistent service
• Assist in developing KPIs and reports to measure Treasury performance
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and execute foreign currency transactions
• Monitor cash controls, perform bank fee analysis and prepare treasury reports
• Support treasury projects and handle back-office journal entries for Treasury transactions
• Keep written procedures up to date and respect Air Liquide's safety and quality policies

Required profile

• Student at a university of economics or accounting
• 0-1+ years of cash management and/or treasury or related experience
• Advanced English and Spanish; basic to intermediate French or Portuguese preferred

Required skills

• Treasury Management Systems (TMS) experience is a plus
• Advanced Excel
• Strong written and oral communication, attention to detail, multi-tasking and teamwork
• Digital mindset for systems automation and continuous improvement
