Technical Team Leader – DevOps & DevSecOps

About the role

You will lead a technical pod of full‑stack DevOps/DevSecOps engineers while staying hands‑on in code, architecture, and pipelines. As a player‑coach you set technical direction, run design and code reviews, unblock the team, and act as the project manager for the engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end architecture across infrastructure, CI/CD, and application layers for cloud portal workloads on Azure and GCP.
• Design reusable Terraform, Helm, and Ansible patterns; establish platform conventions and reference architectures.
• Run sprint planning, stand‑ups, retrospectives and status reporting; maintain backlog and manage release, change control, and post‑incident reviews.
• Onboard and mentor engineers, define growth paths, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
• Embed security, compliance (FedRAMP, FIPS, CIS, ISO, PCI) and observability standards; partner with client security teams on threat modeling and audit response.

Required profile

• 8+ years of software or platform engineering experience.
• At least 2 years leading a delivery team of 3+ engineers.
• Hands‑on coding within the last 12 months.

Required skills

• Deep cloud architecture on Azure (preferred), AWS, or GCP (AKS/GKE, networking, IAM, Key Vault, Managed Identities).
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipeline design with Jenkins or GitHub Actions, including blue/green, canary, and rollback strategies.
• DevSecOps tooling: SAST, DAST, SCA, container/image scanning, supply‑chain security, secrets management with vault solutions.
• Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, Google Cloud Monitoring, DataDog, Log Analytics; SLO/SLI/error‑budget practices.
