Technical Leader – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

Azumo is seeking a Technical Leader to drive the design and delivery of high‑performance, scalable software solutions for its Latin American engineering team. The role is fully remote and focuses on Python, Java, JavaScript/NodeJS, and modern data and cloud technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Define system architecture, deliverables and timelines for complex projects.
• Lead the team through Scrum ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of valuable software.
• Set clear goals, delegate tasks and monitor progress of developers.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Oversee system modifications, conduct security audits and implement improvements.
• Coordinate with management and clients to guarantee project standards.
• Prepare progress reports and present results to stakeholders.
• Recruit, hire and mentor technical personnel.

Required profile

• BS or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience with Java, Python, JavaScript/NodeJS or data technologies.
• 7+ years leading development teams in an Agile environment.
• Strong command of English.
• Deep expertise with Linux and cloud platforms such as AWS, Heroku or Google App Engine.
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and integrating third‑party APIs (REST, OAuth, JSON).
• Self‑motivated, strong work ethic and passion for solving complex problems.
